George Tang is a Toronto-based colorist and filmmaker working across narrative shorts and independent productions. Trained in Film Studies at Toronto Metropolitan University, he approaches color as an essential part of storytelling rather than a final technical pass. For him, grading is where structure, tone, and emotion converge, where contrast and palette are shaped to serve the inner rhythm of a film.

Working primarily in DaVinci Resolve, George has experience across the full post-production pipeline, from on-set data management as a DIT to final color grading for festival-selected films. This foundation allows him to move fluidly between technical precision and creative collaboration, understanding both the discipline required behind the scenes and the sensitivity required in the room.

Originally from Hong Kong and now based in Toronto, he brings a cross-cultural visual sensibility to his work and is drawn to filmmakers who care deeply about the image and the atmosphere it creates.
